The Shoe Museum boosts its tourist and cultural outreach with new promotional actions

As part of its tourism promotion plan, the Foundation has launched a new communication and dissemination campaign aimed at increasing the visibility of the museum and attracting new visitors, both national and international. The initiative includes advertising actions at Alicante-Elche “Miguel Hernández” Airport, at the Renfe train station, on billboards and buses along the Costa Blanca, as well as campaigns on social media and in the media.

To carry out these actions, the grant awarded by the Provincial Tourism Board of Costa Blanca has been utilized, which provided a subsidy of 5,510 euros under the "Strengthening Tourism Activity 2025" program, published in the Official Bulletin of the Province No. 151, on August 11, 2025. This aid contributes to the funding of the promotional campaign "Shoe Museum – Costa Blanca," aimed at consolidating the museum's image as one of the major cultural spaces in the interior of Alicante. These actions allow the Shoe Museum to continue reaching national and international audiences, strengthening Elda's role as the City of Footwear and as a meeting point for culture, tradition, and innovation.

With this campaign, the Foundation hopes to increase the number of visitors by 30%, consolidating the Museum as one of the main attractions of inland cultural tourism in the province, establishing itself as a reference point in the province's cultural and tourist offerings. Its collection —with more than 4,400 shoes, 350 machines, and 11,000 historical documents— holds the Quality Tourism Q certification awarded by the Ministry of Tourism, and represents a unique legacy in Spain.
