Two ideas that come to fruition

For years we have been proposing ideas to relaunch the shoe industry in Elda and Comarca. Now, at least two of these initiatives are assumed by the Elda town hall and will soon be a reality: "La Cultura del Calzado" and "La calle de las Mejores Calzadas". The shoe industry of Medio Vinalopó needs a determined push that supposes a possibility to create employment and a greater source of wealth in the towns that integrate it. Since 2016, and through the blog dedicated to the footwear industry published by the local weekly Valle de Elda, and also in this blog (02/21/2020 "Cultura flourished..."), ideas have been contributed to relaunch our shoe manufacturing industry and make it more competitive. These are actions that require more imagination than financial resources. The passing of the years did not portend that these contributions could have a positive response and, meanwhile, it was regrettable to see the lack of illusion of the inhabitants of our Vinalopó valley, who helplessly observe how the national leadership in the sector is reduced Shoemaker. At FITUR 2023, the first arguments that invite optimism have been heard.
