The Milan Footwear Fair, one of the most important events in the sector worldwide, concludes today for Spanish firms, who have exceeded initial expectations despite the complicated situation that the sector is going through due to the fall in consumption and, therefore, exports.

Difficulties added to by the latest labor measures, such as the lack of flexibility and strict inspections regarding the figure of discontinuous permanent employees, as well as the reported reduction in working hours, factors that influence an increase in labor costs and the loss of competitiveness.

With the active participation of 100 exhibitors and a notable presence of 123 Spanish brands, the event has demonstrated the vitality and resilience of the sector in a context marked by significant challenges.
