We are an industrial and footwear museum, created more than 20 years ago thanks to the generosity of the companies and workers of the Footwear Industry of Elda and Petrer, who contributed funds of unquestionable value, coming to form one of the largest footwear museums in the world created to protect and promote the Footwear Culture. We will find machines, tools, documentation of companies, models of competitions, works of art, shoes and more shoes.

You will be able to discover how footwear is made through the evolution of craft techniques up to the present day. We have an extensive sample of production machinery, shoe sewing machines, from the 19th century, pantographs, last production machinery.

The Shoe is the thread that in a tour through four rooms, reveals the history of fashion and customs in the use of footwear, we will see shoes from all latitudes, cultures and eras, we can see how the footwear has evolved throughout the history of mankind, from prehistory to today, Fashion and trends in footwear with pieces of national and international designers, and models winning competitions in footwear design as the Golden Pencil.

We also have a collection of shoes from important people within all areas of sport, culture and art, such as Julio Iglesias, Antonio Gades, Rafa Nadal, Iniesta, Nieves Alvarez, , the Duchess of Alba, and above all the shoes of King Pepe Botella (Napoleon's brother) and those worn by Pope John XXIII on the day of his coronation as Pope.
